Shimoni is a small fishing village on the southern Kenyan coast, about 80km from Mombasa. It feels remote. It is easy to reach.
From Mombasa
Via Likoni ferry → south on the B8 coast road → approximately 80km → 2 hours. Matatus run regularly from Likoni to Shimoni.
From Diani Beach
30–40 minutes south along the coast road. The fastest route for guests flying into Ukunda airstrip.
From Nairobi
Fly to Mombasa (1 hr) or take the overnight SGR train, then drive south. Flights also serve Ukunda airstrip (Diani).
